These notes cover foundational concepts in sociology. Topics include the basics of sociology, developing a sociological imagination, socialization (primary, secondary, anticipatory, resocialization), sociological research methods (qualitative and quantitative), social interaction and identity (dramaturgy, looking glass self), the evolution of society, and social stratification and inequalities.
