Introduction to Sociology

This course is a standard introduction to sociology. It touches broadly on several subjects in sociology. It consists 7 term tasks, one sociological imagination, subfield study, key concept quiz and final assignment.

These notes cover foundational concepts in sociology. Topics include the basics of sociology, developing a sociological imagination, socialization (primary, secondary, anticipatory, resocialization), sociological research methods (qualitative and quantitative), social interaction and identity (dramaturgy, looking glass self), the evolution of society, and social stratification and inequalities.
